Rider's Roost Chapter Ride June 7th.
Please arrive with a full tank of gas. We plan to depart promptly at 8:30 am.
From the Swannanoa dealership, turn left onto Hwy 70 heading toward Black Mountain.
Turn right for Exit 59 onto I-40. Follow I-40 to Old Fort.
Exit I-40 at Old Fort and follow Hwy 70 East through Old Fort to Marion.
Turn right on BUS Hwy 221. Stay in right lane and bare to the right on Hwy 70 East (Logan St.). Don't turn on the first sign for Hwy 221. Go through that intersection and you'll find BUS Hwy 221 at the next light. Then turn right.
Follow Hwy 70 and make a left turn onto Court St. Follow Hwy 70 East to Morganton. Turn left onto BUS Hwy 64 East. We will take a short 10 minute break at the McDonald's near Hwy 64 East and 18 North. We should arrive at McDonald's about 9:30 am.
Turn left onto Hwy 64 East and 18 North to Lenoir.
Turn left onto Hwy 321 North in Lenoir.
About 5 1/2 miles down Hwy 321 turn right onto Hwy 268 East.
About 13 miles down Hwy 268 we will stop at the BP Gas Station and fill up our tanks. The road in front of the gas station leads to the Roost (about a mile down the road on the left).
